Our Impact
We’ve worked on improving the lives of a lot of young people through community events and activities.
Young people have a huge impact on us and all our activities. They highlight those parts of the society that are broken, so we can help them in all possible ways to regain hope and flourish in life. We help youth excel through sports and vocational skills development, providing cultural awareness programs, assisting with school supplies for those in need.
What we do
We plan and support amazing projects that help change the lives of children, young people and adults in need of support in the community.
We Find & Fund
We know there are problems to be solved in the community even though some of them might not be apparent. For example, someone dealing with immigration issues might not want to discuss this with with anyone, even if they needed help. We look for opportunities like these and others in order to lend a hand. This changes lives!
We nurture culture
We make it part of our responsibility that kids have a good understanding of and appreciation for their culture. Gambian children who migrate to the U.S at a very young age or second-generation children have a risk of of losing touch with their West African culture – food, language, history. Having community reduces this risk.
We
Entertain
The typical Gambian loves gatherings where there is free food, music, and fun games. For 4th of July, this what we provide, all in one place. Some of the activities we do at this event includes: 100m sprint, face painting, musical chair, bucket balance, soccer tournament, and graduation certificates.
