Testing NWSGA blog posts!

Welcome to NWSGA blogs section. When we have something to post, it’ll be here. Yet to implement. Check back later. Thanks.

The Northwest Seattle Gambia Association have the pleasure to invite you to its annual fundraising gala dinner scheduled for 31st December 2021 and the event will take place at Laurel Place- 911 N 145th St #6522, Seattle, WA 98133, commencing at 20:00Hours. The event will bring together our membership community and partners to enhance our network, highlight the crucial role played by the association to strengthen trust and unify the community in line with our targeted goals and vision set out in our constitution and byelaws. As a non-profit association, our mission is to promote cross cultural understanding and productive citizen awareness and development through meaningful and life-changing social programs.

Amidst apparent challenges brought to fore due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its adverse effects since its emergence, the association with support from partners was able to support its community with food supplies, individual cases of medical and tuition support and provision and distribution of and Covid19 mitigation materials such as facemask and hand-sanitizers among other things.

While we traditionally bring together the community for an exquisite gala dinner and entertainment, the primary objective of the event is to raise funds to expedite our community projects which includes but not limited to supporting vulnerable and needy families with medical and tuition bills, NWSGA mentorship drive, July 4th annual celebrations and the Gambian independence. The proceeds of this fundraising event and similar ones are entirely put into the community. With great anticipation and interest from our community, the success of previous fundraising events such as new year’s gala dinner prompted incoming executives of the association to dedicate this event as an annual one.

In this light, the Northwest Seattle Gambia Association invites you to join us in this celebration. As we extend this friendly invitation to you, we would appreciate any donation either financial or material that will enhance our overall goal set out for this event. Your support in any shape or form will add significant value to our quest to cater for the needs and well-being of our community particularly marginalized and deprived families.

While we look forward to your swift support and attendance, let me convey Northwest Seattle Gambia Association’s Executive compliments and appreciation for your continuous support and friendship.

Best Regards,
